Description
The Allen & Heath SQ7+ is a high-capacity digital mixing console designed for professional live sound, touring, installed audio, broadcast, and production environments that demand extensive hands-on control and powerful processing capabilities. As the largest model in the SQ+ series, the SQ7+ combines a 96kHz XCVI FPGA processing core with 33 motorised faders, 48 input channels, and 44 mix buses, delivering fast workflow, ultra-low latency performance, and flexible system expansion for complex productions.
At the center of the console is a responsive 9-inch capacitive touchscreen with a redesigned dark graphical interface that remains easy to navigate in any lighting condition. Six customizable fader layers, assignable SoftKeys, SoftRotaries, drag-and-drop channel layout, and Allen & Heath’s Chromatic channel metering system provide engineers with fast access to critical controls during live operation. Every input channel includes comprehensive processing tools such as high-pass filtering, gate, compressor, parametric EQ, delay, and insert points, while mix buses add graphic EQ and additional dynamics processing for detailed system tuning and monitor management.
The SQ7+ also features extensive effects and expansion capabilities, including 8 RackExtra FX engines and 4 premium RackUltra FX engines with dedicated sends and returns for advanced reverbs, delays, modulation, vocal processing, saturation, and harmonization effects. Integrated USB recording and playback support multitrack recording at both 96kHz and 48kHz without requiring additional hardware, while the 128×128 SLink port and optional Dante, Waves, MADI, or additional SLink cards allow the mixer to integrate seamlessly into large-scale audio networks and stage systems. With remote control support for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices, automatic microphone mixing, and rugged all-metal construction, the SQ7+ is built to handle demanding real-world audio production with reliability and flexibility.
