Description

The Blackmagic Design Ultimatte Smart Remote 4 G2 is a dedicated hardware control surface designed to provide fast and intuitive operation of multiple Ultimatte 12 compositing processors. Capable of controlling up to eight Ultimatte 12 units simultaneously over Ethernet, it gives broadcast and virtual production teams precise hands-on control for live chroma keying, compositing, and real-time graphics workflows. Its combination of touchscreen navigation, physical controls, and direct-access buttons makes it especially well suited for fast-paced studio environments where quick adjustments and reliable operation are essential. 

At the centre of the system is a large 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen display that provides clear visual feedback and easy menu navigation. Eight rotary control knobs allow direct parameter adjustment, while illuminated unit selection buttons and online/on-air status indicators provide instant visual confirmation during live productions. Dedicated quick load and save buttons make it easy to store and recall presets, and the File Clear function can automatically configure key settings to help achieve clean composites quickly and efficiently. Customizable menu layouts also allow operators to build workflows around their most frequently used controls for faster operation during production. 

Designed for flexible installation, the Smart Remote 4 G2 can be used on a desktop or mounted into a standard 19-inch equipment rack using the included rack ears. Multiple USB-C ports support external keyboards, storage devices, software updates, and preset management, while dual Ethernet ports provide reliable network connectivity for Ultimatte control and system configuration. Compact, portable, and highly responsive, the Ultimatte Smart Remote 4 G2 is an ideal control solution for broadcast studios, virtual sets, live events, and advanced green-screen production environments requiring precise real-time compositing control.
