The 983s MK2 is a two channel tube mic preamp with True48 dynamic phantom power
Featuring the same great tube sound that LaChapell is known for, the new 983S MK2 also features True48, a dynamic phantom power supply that provides a constant 48 V to microphones. Standard phantom power will fluctuate as microphones come under greater load, but True48 stays steady giving your microphones increased headroom and smoother performance. It also reduces intermodulation distortion caused by less robust power supplies.
The 983S MK2 has two channels of tube amplification with a 12AX7 tube. Front panel dual drive knobs and pad switch work together to provide a huge array of sonic capabilities from clean to gritty.
