7 foot upright, 7 foot boom, Spin Grip Mic Mount, 16 inch, 29lb Latch Lake base

The micKing 2200 boom stand is our most recommended stand. It features all of the outstanding original patented features of the micKing including: the world's strongest boom clutch in its class, unique patented base, Spin Grip Mic Mount, movable counterweight and revolutionary lever lock adjustment systems. However, the 2200 differentiates itself with just one telescoping extension on both the boom and the mast. It performs flawlessly in all positions with the lightest to the heaviest of microphones. The MK2200 now utilizes the new 29 lb 16" base that comes standard on the MK3300. This foundation enables its immense strength and flexibility. The MK2200 is the perfect stand to prepare you for just about anything that comes your way.
Lever Lock System
Quick and simple adjustments throughout the entire stand. These locks ensure, hands down, the strongest hold possible with the least amount of frustration. You can even customize their tension to your precise needs!

Why the World's Strongest
Our patented boom clutch features nearly 16 square inches of clamp-able surface area. That's more than any other mic stand on the market! This impressive surface area provides the maximum coefficient of friction for that unstoppable hold that micKing booms are so well known for.

Highly Efficient Footprint
Our unique patented bases don't only have the most efficient placement of weight; they can be positioned within each other for great space saving storage.

Counter Weights
Our ultra flexible counter weight system can be positioned anywhere on the boom. They can even be removed when not necessary.

Quality Components
We've thought all the way down to the finest detail. Every adjustment point on the stands feature our patented cable wedges, enabling very clean cable management.

    Top End Stand
This is my second Latch Lake 2200. These are amazing stands and having gone through decasdes of using droopy stands these are a godsend for holding an RCA 44 or zany other big mic. Also Gaetan at Studio Economik was great as always handling delivery specifics,

An incredibly durable and sturdy mic stand.
I was able to suspend some heavy microphones in hard to reach places with ease. This mic stand put all my worries at ease of having expensive microphones sag/crash into an expensive drum-kit or grand piano.

I look forward to testing out these stands further by pushing them to some of their limits, but I feel their limits go well beyond what most will need. Read more

Read more

    Latch Lake 2200
I bought the Latch Lake 2200 to use in the studio to hang tube mics. I have long used K&M stands, but the boom droops with a heavy mic, and the stand itself is unstable. I always put 5-10 barbells on the stand to stabilize it, but that does not help the annoying droop/drift of the boom. Read more
