This is my first bit of analog outboard gear and after about 3 months of use...its still SUPER awesome!
As an electronic music producer, saturation and clipping on the final stages of a mix or master is something I've been always thinking about and tinkering with.
Digital clippers tend to start getting saturated sooner than this box, which is mind-blowing cause I can get a few more dBs of loudness just through this AND the saturation curve is so smooth and pleasant.
Read moreI guess that's the beauty of analog. I've also been using it for Drums, Vocals, and basses as well to impart some color, and dang does it deliver!
The Low Safe mode is awesome when mixing, to keep the low end clean of distortion, while the High Smooth just softens those high peaks a nice bit. plus the Box is super simple to use, super easy to understand but with such variability that Ill be using this for a looooong time.
