The Neumann KH 120 an active studio monitor designed for use as a near-field loudspeaker or as a rear loudspeaker in larger multi-channel systems

The KH 120 A represents the latest in acoustic and electronic simulation and measurement technologies to ensure the most accurate sound reproduction possible. It has a Mathematically Modeled Dispersion waveguide (MMD (TM), flexible acoustical controls, analog class-AB amplifiers, a large headroom analog input and an extensive mounting hardware range. All of this provides the user with the maximum versatility over a wide variety of acoustic conditions, source equipment, and physical locations.

The KH 120 is perfect for tracking, mixing and mastering in music, broadcast, project and post-production studios.

Not just for mix monitoring and production

Recently purchased these for my nearfield desktop setup as an upgrade for my previous active monitors and love these. The sound is clean, powerful, very neutral but at the same time very enjoyable. The dynamic and volume from these are exceptional given the form factor. Lire plus

Impressive

I was genuinely surprised by these little monitors?refined and revealing, but easy to listen to for long periods. The bass extension is kind of shocking, given the size, and the imaging is astonishingly detailed. 100% happy with my choice.

Ce sont des moniteurs phénoménaux!

These are phenomenal monitors!

The KH120's are holographic, accurate in frequency response and spatial placement, able to play loud and deep and handle transients as flawlessly as I have ever head from cone-based speakers. These monitors can also be tuned for placement/room acoustics using the built-in hardware filters.

I set up the Neumann's in my studio (treated) and measured their response with an Earthworks acoustic measurement microphone and associated software. Lire plus

The KH120 meets the stated Neumann specifications within measurement error from 60 Hz to 20Khz +/- 1.5 db. Below this I have a room resonance at approximately 54Hz. Not an issue for the near field but must be tuned out in the far field.

I am a electronic engineer and the only other loud speaker that meets and exceeds these KH120's in performance that I have used and heard are my KEF 107 reference monitors that can play louder and deeper and have similar 20Hz to 20Khz flat response of +1.5/-2.0 db as measured with the same system. To put things in perspective the KEF?s are at least an order of magnitude more expensive. But the Neumann's transient response is faster with less ringing.

The Neumann KH120's are just phenomenal monitors for the price! Properly set up you hear exactly what is in the mix. No more, no less.

Ce sont des moniteurs phénoménaux!

Les KH120's sont holographiques, précis dans la réponse en fréquence et le placement spatial, capable de jouer fort et profond et de gérer les transitoires parfaitement. Ces moniteurs peuvent également être réglés pour le placement/acoustique de pièce en utilisant les filtres intégrés.

J'ai mis en place les Neumann dans mon studio (traité) et mesuré leur réponse avec un microphone de mesure acoustique Earthworks et un logiciel associé. Le KH120 répond aux spécifications de Neumann indiquées dans l'erreur de mesure de 60 Hz à 20 kHz +/-1.5 dB. Ci-dessous, j'ai une résonance de la chambre à environ 54Hz. Pas un problème pour le champ proche, mais doit être réglé dans le champ lointain.

Je suis un ingénieur électronique et le seul autre haut-parleur qui rencontre et dépasse ces KH120's dans la performance que j'ai utilisé et entendu sont mes moniteurs de référence KEF 107 qui peuvent jouer plus fort et plus profond et ont la même 20Hz à 20Khz réponse plate de + 1.5/-2.0 dB comme mesuré avec t il même système. Pour mettre les choses en perspective les KEF sont au moins un ordre de grandeur plus coûteux. Mais la réponse transitoire de Neumann est plus rapide avec moins de sonnerie.

Le Neumann KH120's sont juste phénoménaux moniteurs pour le prix! Correctement mis en place vous entendez exactement ce qui est dans le mélange. Pas plus, pas moins.

Great, now I need three more!

Astonishing clarity and staging on these monitors! I have a dialed in, treated room so I can really appreciate the balance and detail on theses. The low freqs are far more powerful than I would have imagined coming from that little cabinet, yet they are tight and focused. Lire plus
