As good as it gets at this price point
Highly recommended! I own 3 pairs of HD650s for my various recording rigs. They are useful as alternative monitors for basic mixing and mastering, Clean, detailed and pleasant-sounding; not overly hyped in high or low frequency bands like many headphones. Lire plus
Comfortable to wear for a relatively long time. The only better mixing and mastering headphones I have tried are the incredibly-detailed Audeze, but those are more that twice the price and twice the weight.

Best Headphones I?ve owned
Montréal producer Wuachuma ran a session talking about his music creation process. He said that these headphones really gave him the power to achieve great mix downs. I had recently bought Beyer DT phones for my wife which failed after 2 weeks, and I wasn't that impressed with their sound. Lire plus
So that was it, I migrated to the 650's from my older HD25's and it was a huge difference. I am using Sonarworks software to achieve an even better response curve. I'm primarily mixing electronic music, with some vocals. I can highly recommend these 650's. It's like switching from scratched up sunglasses to a razor sharp Optictian's prescription. No more fumbling in the dark.

Great response and follow up by studio economik The HD650 is an excellent product well suited to highest quality work - has excellent L/R matching, extended uniform response and can be used quite well for all but final stage of mixing
