Information

3 of the finest players, solo and as a duet (a2) sampled deeply with a selection of essential articulations. Electronic Delivery.

Deep sampled in the hall at air studios as part of Spitfire's British Modular range, providing a new gold standard for orchestral and cinematic samples. Constructed and scripted for ease of use, these simply play true realism life and character "out of the box."

After the delights of enormous sounding libraries and ensembles providing broad, brushstroke approaches to writing (which have, to some extent, characterised recent film, gaming and TV music), Spitfire are at last proud to present some of the greatest wind players in the UK performing on recordings that create the tools you need to write detailed and focussed woods parts. Parts that have a personality and style that represents your personality, that expresses your creative will and provides you with fresh pastures of experimentation. That doesn't dictate how you write your orchestral music. As both a section and a solo this library sits perfectly in larger arrangements alongside more exposed material, as part of a duet alongside a harp for example.

SPITFIRE PRESENTS THE BML FLUTE CONSORT.

Part of a new, long-term project entitled THE BRITISH MODULAR LIBRARY providing composers with the ability to add fine detail, musical expression, beauty and focus to their work. Many composers have tried our 'broad brush stroke' Albion range, BML is often the natural next step for composers wanting to write more focussed and finer detailed instrumental music. To write music that musicians love to play and to get the most out of smaller ensembles and the wealth of timbral colour and character they can add to any project. With 7 mic positions, recorded at 96k through vintage valve and ribbon mics to tape through Neve premaps and Prism convertors, and presented at 48k, 24bit in Kontakt format, and additionally three extremely useful 'mixed' versions.

Background
London woodwind players are considered amongst the best in the world. Where film music sessions are concerned it could be argued that you wouldn't want to go anywhere else. Woodwinds are so expressive they can be a bugger to sample. So our belief is to start with the best and then work as hard as we can to honour the talent we have captured.

These fine players are recorded solo, and two are recorded in unison. They are seated exactly in situ so combine the a2 patches with the solo ones for a slightly larger section whilst maintaining spectral integrity. Moreover combine with other BML modules or indeed the Albion range and the spacial integrity is maintained. Remember this is not just panning left to right. If you want them to sound like they're sitting behind the 2nd violins you have to place them there!

Features
This is a deeply sampled library with a selection of essential articulations curated by multi award winning composers and musicians. The library features multiple round robins, dynamic layers and easily usable fully functional legato with control of vibrato.

The library is presented with numerous microphone positions which you can not only mix and blend to fit the application you're working on, but also automate for dramatic shifts in focus and depth. We have also specially commissioned 3 exclusive Jake Jackson mixes of every sample to save you time and system resources. These mixes are specially designed to work in different applications from pop to chamber to epic cinematic and by using these mixes across the BML range you can achieve total mix integrity, just as Jake would do it!
