Low profile microphone with right angle XLR cable for use on snare drum and vocal applications. Comes with a leather bag and 5m XLR cable with right angle female XLR
The wide frequency response and higher SPL capabilities offer the user a superior alternative to the midrange-laden character of the "industry standard dynamic microphone." A tight cardioid polar pattern and a frequency response boasting a subtle rise in the high end result in a microphone that is equally suitable for snare drum, vocals or instruments on both the stage and the studio. The M80-SH ships with a leather microphone bag and 5 meter SGMC-5 XLR cable with right angle female XLR.
The M80-SH comes with a leather microphone bag and 5 meter SGMC-5R XLR cable with right angle female XLR.

Good Upgrade to a SM57
Decided to take a chance and upgrade to the M80 from the good old SM57 after getting so and so results on snare drums. I'm very happy with my purchase! The M80 actually had most of the SM57 foundational tone but adds a bit more details on the top end. Lire plus
For me, it allows me to get a better sound out of my snare.

World's best snare microphone?
Read a lot about the M80 over past couple of years, with many producers saying they much preferred it over the classic SM57 on snare drum. When they released a short body (SH) version, I was even more interested, so I finally bought one. Delivers the same solid midrange as SM57, but with more top end, i.e. Lire plus
more snap from the snare wires. This means could be less need to record a bottom side mic, or use less of it. It has high SPL handling, and since it is super cardioid pattern it has better rejection (e.g. hi hat) than the SM57. And the short body makes it fairly easy to position in tight spaces. More money than a 57, but very worth it!
