Fluff Drive: Ryan “Fluff” Bruce and Warm Audio Team Up for a Modern Overdrive Pedal

Warm Audio has partnered with Ryan “Fluff” Bruce to release the Fluff Drive, a limited-edition overdrive pedal tuned for metal and high-gain guitar setups. As a trusted voice in the heavy music scene and longtime gear reviewer, Fluff brought years of hands-on experience to the design process, refining a well-known ‘80s high-gain platform into a tool made for today’s demanding players.

The Fluff Drive is the first signature pedal from Warm Audio and features several thoughtful upgrades designed for clarity, tightness, and control, especially for down-tuned guitars, baritones, and extended-range setups. A modded low boost circuit tightens up low-end response, while the mid-enhance switch allows users to choose between pre- or post-gain shaping for added tonal flexibility. A three-position noise gate (high, low, off) adapts to everything from chugging palm mutes to soaring lead lines.

Another key feature is the selectable 18V boost, which increases headroom for a more articulate response. Inside, the pedal sticks to its analog roots, with premium components like JRC4558 op-amps, discrete transistors, and JFETs. An internal voltage doubler is also onboard to support the 18V mode. These elements work together to push amps harder than a standard preamp gain stage, making it an ideal fit for players looking to hit the front end of their amps with serious force.

The Fluff Drive comes in two finishes, Teal (WA-FLFT) and a limited White version (WA-FLFW). Each unit is hand-tested by Warm Audio’s technicians in Austin, TX, and backed by a 5-year warranty.
