Lectrosonics has released the IFBT2.0, a dual-channel UHF IFB rack transmitter designed for broadcast, location sound, and communication applications. Developed as the successor to the IFBT4, this updated model maintains the same rack density while adding expanded connectivity, updated control options, and broader system compatibility.

The IFBT2.0 features two independent transmitter channels within a half-rack enclosure, allowing four channels to fit within a single rack unit when paired. It supports a wide range of input types, including analog mic and line level, AES digital, Dante audio over IP, ClearCom, and RTS, offering flexibility for different production setups.

Compatibility is a central aspect of the design. The unit supports IFB, NU Hybrid, and EU Hybrid modes, enabling operation with both current and legacy Lectrosonics receivers, including IFBR1 series units and Digital Hybrid Wireless systems. This allows integration into existing workflows without requiring system changes.

For RF performance, the IFBT2.0 includes selectable output power levels. North American versions offer 10, 25, 50, 100, and 250 mW settings, while international versions support 10, 25, and 50 mW. A built-in circulator and isolator help reduce unwanted RF interaction, supporting more efficient frequency coordination in multi-channel environments.

Control and monitoring are handled through a front-panel colour LCD with tactile buttons, along with USB-C and Ethernet connectivity for integration with Wireless Designer software. These connections allow system setup, monitoring, and firmware updates from a computer.

Audio performance varies by mode, with IFB mode supporting a frequency response of 100 Hz to 8 kHz, and hybrid modes extending from 40 Hz to 20 kHz for full-range audio transmission in point-to-point applications.

Additional design elements include a durable all-metal chassis, combo XLR/TRS inputs, Dante networking via dual RJ45 ports, and a Hirose 4-pin DC power connection. The unit also includes IR sync capability for quick setup with compatible receivers.

The Lectrosonics IFBT2.0 is available in multiple frequency bands to match regional requirements and existing receiver systems, supporting deployment across a range of production environments.
