Wolff Audio has announced two key upgrades for users of its ProPatch audio routing systems: the release of PAW 1.2 and a direct HTTP API. Both updates are designed to provide more flexible and powerful control options for professional studio setups.

PAW 1.2: Now with MIDI and Stream Deck Control
PAW (ProPatch Application for the Web), the interface used to manage ProPatch devices, now supports full MIDI control with version 1.2. Users can control routing chains, A/B groups, session loads, and global mute via MIDI, integrating easily with platforms like Stream Deck, Soundflow, Keyboard Maestro, and most MIDI-enabled DAWs.

PAW’s web-based architecture allows it to run in the Wolffhound shell or directly in any browser, ensuring a consistent experience across operating systems without dependency on OS updates. Features like URL-based build switching and seamless update delivery mean users can switch between Production, Beta, or custom versions without reinstalling software.
New Direct HTTP API for Custom Integration
For developers and advanced users, Wolff Audio now offers a direct HTTP API that mirrors the same REST interface used by PAW. This means ProPatch routing can be controlled by simply sending a URL, ideal for embedding control functions into studio workflows, facility-wide automation systems, or custom tools.
The HTTP API supports:
- Control from any compatible software or automation environment
- Long-term integration via a stable, published interface
- Custom tool development using standard or AI-assisted methods
- Full documentation and examples via GitHub for fast onboarding
While a bit of programming knowledge helps, the combination of sample code and modern development tools makes it approachable for more users than ever before.
Availability
PAW 1.2 is now live via the Production Channel. The HTTP API is available upon request for developers. Wolff Audio will be showcasing these updates at the NAMM show, booth 15503.
