The SPL Venos (Red) brings the soul of vintage tube compression into a bold, modern form, both in sonic character and visual design. With its striking red finish, this stereo bus compressor stands out as much for its looks as for its musical performance. At its core, Venos is a variable-bias tube compressor, known for delivering rich, harmonically complex compression that adds depth, size, and warmth to any stereo signal. But Venos doesn't stop at heritage, it evolves the classic design by introducing two unique hyper-compression modes, Focus and Punch, which unlock entirely new dynamic textures. These modes allow producers and engineers to dial in either detailed, midrange-forward presence or assertive, energetic transients without harshness.

Functionality and user experience are central to the Venos design. Every control, Input, Threshold, Bias, Attack, Release, Rectifier, Output, is finely stepped or switch-based for easy recall and precision. Additional creative tools include switchable analog EQ presets (AirBass and Tape), a side-chain insert for external control, and selectable rectifier types that affect the compressor's response. On the technical side, the Venos features SPL’s renowned 120V rail technology, providing superior headroom, minimal distortion, and an ultra-clean signal path.
