The RME HDSPe AoX-D is a high-performance PCIe x4 audio interface card engineered for professional studios, live sound systems, and high-channel-count environments. Designed around Dante audio networking, this compact yet powerful card offers up to 512 channels of audio at 48 kHz, making it one of the most robust PCIe audio solutions on the market. At its core, the HDSPe AoX-D includes dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, AES3 I/O, headphone monitoring, and MIDI I/O, all managed through RME’s powerful TotalMix FX mixing and routing environment. Its functionality is further expandable via optional AoX-MADI-EXT boards, supporting up to four MADI ports, either BNC (coaxial) or SFP (optical), for an additional 256 channels in and out. This hybrid configuration allows up to 256 Dante channels and 256 MADI channels per direction to coexist on a single interface, a breakthrough for networked audio integration.
