The Slate Digital ML-1A is a cutting-edge large-diaphragm condenser modeling microphone that redefines what’s possible in a modern studio workflow. Designed to pair seamlessly with the powerful Virtual Microphone System (VMS) plugin, the ML-1A gives you access to the sonic character of up to 36 iconic microphones, including vintage tube mics, classic ribbons, and modern condensers all in a single, elegantly designed mic.

Out of the box, the ML-1A includes 18 mic models, with additional models including the Radio France Signature Collection available through Slate Digital's Complete Access Bundle. Using the VMS plugin, you can blend two mic models, apply proximity effect adjustments, and even widen mono recordings into lush stereo fields, offering incredible tonal control even after recording. A new three-position pad switch (0 / -10 / -20 dB) allows the mic to handle up to 145 dB SPL, making it suitable for everything from delicate vocals to aggressive drums.

Visually refreshed with a sleek black and grey body and redesigned grille, the ML-1A also boasts a remarkably low self-noise of 8 dB, ensuring clean, transparent recordings.
