The Ambisonics Plugin expands the Sound Devices MixPre-6 into a powerful tool for immersive audio, unlocking 360 ambisonic recording, playback, and monitoring. Tailored for VR, AR, and spatial audio creators, it provides full support for A-Format and B-Format (FuMa and AmbiX) workflows and integrates seamlessly with the Sennheiser AMBEO VR Mic.

With real-time A-to-B format conversion, binaural monitoring through headphones, and the ability to simultaneously record ambisonic, stereo, and binaural WAV files, this plugin ensures flexibility both on set and in post. The MixPre-6 with Ambisonics delivers pristine sound quality at up to 192 kHz / 24-bit resolution and supports multiple mic orientations (Up, Down, Endfire).

To keep operation fast and intuitive, it also offers automatic 4-channel gain linking for single-knob control, giving sound professionals smooth, efficient handling of multi-channel ambisonic recordings.
