Borrowed from the flagship 6-, 7-, and 8-Series recorders, MixAssist automatically balances levels across multiple mics, attenuating unused inputs to reduce spill and room noise while keeping speech smooth and natural.

Designed for interviews, podcasts, small panels, and live productions, MixAssist helps deliver polished mixes straight from the recorder, minimizing the need for post-production cleanup. It runs natively on the MixPre-6 II, supporting sample rates of 44.1, 47.952, 48, and 48.048 kHz at 24-bit or 32-bit float for uncompromising sound quality.
