The Blackmagic 2110 IP Mini IP to HDMI SFP is a compact SMPTE ST 2110 converter designed to bring professional IP-based video and audio directly to HDMI displays over optical fiber networks. Its miniature form factor allows it to be mounted discreetly behind televisions, monitors, and projectors, making it ideal for broadcast facilities, live production environments, AV installations, and remote monitoring locations. By converting SMPTE-2110 streams to HDMI, it provides a simple way to integrate standard HDMI displays into modern IP-based production workflows while supporting long-distance connectivity through optical fiber infrastructure.
Designed for professional broadcast environments, the converter features a 10G SFP optical fiber connection for SMPTE-2110 video, audio, configuration, and firmware updates. It supports SMPTE ST 2110-20, 2110-21, 2110-30, and 2110-40 standards, along with NMOS discovery and connection management for integration into larger IP routing systems. Support for Precision Time Protocol (PTP) ensures accurate synchronization across networked devices, while compatibility with Blackmagic's IP10 codec enables efficient transport of high-bandwidth Ultra HD formats over 10G Ethernet infrastructure. An SFP-based design also provides flexibility for installations that require extended cable runs or integration with existing optical fiber networks.
The 2110 IP Mini IP to HDMI SFP supports SD, HD, Ultra HD, and DCI 4K video formats up to 2160p60 and 4K DCI 60p, automatically adapting to incoming signals for seamless operation. It carries up to 16 channels of embedded SMPTE-2110 audio and includes USB-C connectivity for configuration and software updates. Powered by the included 12V DC universal power supply, the converter offers a reliable and straightforward monitoring solution for facilities adopting SMPTE-2110 workflows while maintaining the convenience of standard HDMI displays.
