The DPA 4080 CORE+ Cardioid Lavalier Microphone (Black, 3-pin LEMO) – model 4080-DP-D-B03 – is a purpose-built microphone for capturing clear, focused speech in professional settings such as broadcast, presentations, conferences, and live productions. Featuring a compact, low-profile design, this mic is optimized for chest placement, delivering excellent vocal intelligibility while maintaining a discreet visual footprint. The cardioid polar pattern focuses on the speaker's voice while effectively rejecting ambient sound from the sides and rear, making it an ideal choice for environments with background noise or multiple sound sources.

Equipped with CORE+ technology, the 4080 delivers a wide dynamic range with virtually no distortion, even at high SPLs up to 134 dB peak. This results in a natural, balanced sound that remains crisp and intelligible across all speaking volumes. The included 3-pin LEMO connector ensures secure, professional-grade connectivity with compatible wireless transmitters, such as those from Lectrosonics or Sennheiser. A built-in shock mount and clip holder allow for flexible mounting on either side of a buttoned shirt, while both black and white pop filters are included to blend with various wardrobe choices and minimize plosive sounds. Durable and IP58-rated for resistance to moisture and dust, the 4080 CORE+ is a rugged, reliable, and sonically precise solution for professional speech applications.
