Description

The Genelec 8020DWM is a compact yet powerful 2-way active nearfield monitor, designed to deliver exceptional accuracy and clarity in space-constrained studio environments. Finished in elegant white, this version retains all the trusted performance of the 8020D while adding a clean, modern aesthetic that fits seamlessly into both creative and professional spaces. It features a 4" woofer and ¾" tweeter, each driven by dedicated 50 W Class D amplifiers, and is capable of producing a maximum SPL of 100 dB, making it surprisingly powerful for its size.

Introduced as an update to the popular 8020 line, the 8020DWM boasts 4 dB higher SPL and lower power consumption than its predecessors. The enclosure is built using Genelec’s Minimum Diffraction Enclosure (MDE™) technology for accurate, color-free sound, while the Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW™) ensures consistent imaging across the listening area which is essential for reliable mix decisions.

Ideal for post-production suites, DAW-based studios, or on-the-go setups like OB vans, the 8020DWM also includes Intelligent Signal Sensing (ISS™) to automatically enter standby when not in use, promoting energy efficiency without user intervention.
