Description

The Schoeps A 20 is a classic elastic suspension, or shock mount, for microphones of 20 mm diameter such as the CMC 6. It is a traditional design that Schoeps has manufactured for several decades.

The base has a 5/8"-27 female thread, with an adapter for 3/8" and 1/2" stand threads. The microphone cable can be locked in place, and the angle of the microphone can be varied.

Compared with a modern suspension such as the AC 20, its insulation against structure-borne noise is lower. Schoeps therefore recommends it for applications with little structure-borne noise, for example in the studio. Since the 2011 facelift it has a metal housing and a sturdy plastic clip.
