Description

The Schoeps B 5 D WH is the white, flocked version of the B 5 D hollow foam teardrop popscreen. The B 5 D is the classic and most popular pop shield from Schoeps. It is used in close-up speech, but also as a shield against mild wind or moving noise on the boom.

The foam is hollow inside, so it encloses an air volume around the microphone capsule like a windshield basket. The foam is mounted on a plastic carrier that sits firmly on the microphone, so it does not touch the microphone and reliably prevents any motion noise.

Schoeps says it delivers good effectiveness with the lowest possible sound influence. It is compatible with all axially addressed microphones from Schoeps, and the microphone should be pushed as far as possible into the popscreen.
