The SCHOEPS BF 250 is a heavy floor stand. Its heavy bottom base holds STR support rods or the STV stand, and a comfortable collet with quick release holds them reliably and stably while staying easy to lock and release.
The BF 250 is supplied with a special collet, type SPV 12-3/8. An STR vertical support rod simply plugs into the collet and is tightened by hand with a half turn of the milled cap nut. A rubber ring on the underside can leave permanent marks on delicate floors, so Schoeps suggests a non-slip surface under the base.
