Description

The Schoeps CCM 2 Lg is the standard Lemo (L), gray version of the CCM 2 compact microphone, an omnidirectional design with a linear frequency response that is corrected for the direct sound field. The Lg version has a Lemo connector and the matte gray finish.

The frequency response is flat for frontal sound incidence, which gives a very natural quality when picking up sound that is predominantly direct, that is close to the source or in a dry acoustic. The sonic impression never becomes overly brilliant or harsh.

The CCM 2 is meant to be placed in close proximity to the sound source, and its preferred applications are the close pickup of singers and instruments. Because there is some directivity at high frequencies, it still matters which way the capsule is aimed.
