Description

The Schoeps CCM 4XP is a compact cardioid microphone for the very closest speech pickup, directly in front of the speaker's mouth. It is made for pickup of speech or music at close range (under 10 cm).

Strong attenuation of low frequencies is compensated by the proximity effect. Up to the point of its high-frequency emphasis, the response is flat for the speaker's voice, while sound from a greater distance rolls off at low frequencies, so background sounds are picked up less strongly than the person speaking.

This is the standard L version with a Lemo plug, in matte gray.

Features

Cardioid Pickup
A cardioid pattern designed for the very closest speech pickup.

Strong Low-Frequency Attenuation
Designed for close range (under 10 cm), with a strong rolloff of low frequencies. Sound from a greater distance rolls off at low frequencies.

Proximity Effect Compensation
The low-frequency rolloff is compensated by the proximity effect, so the speaker's voice stays flat up to the point of its high-frequency emphasis. Background sounds are picked up less strongly than the person speaking.

Classic Condenser Design
CCM microphones are classic condenser microphones with no electret and a balanced, low-impedance output. They run on both 12 V and 48 V phantom feed power supplies and can be used with very long cables.

Lemo Connector
The standard L version connects through a Lemo plug.
