Description

The SCHOEPS Mono-Set CMC 1 KV (LemoSD) with MK 41 pairs the supercardioid MK 41 capsule with the CMC 1 KV amplifier, the version of the CMC 1 with a fixed cable coming out of the side. The short cable ends in a Lemo 3-pin connector with the Sound Devices pin configuration, for pocket transmitters that provide P48 or P12.

The MK 41 has high directivity, comparable at low and medium frequencies to that of a shotgun microphone, and its flat frequency response remains largely the same for all directions of pickup. Its preferred uses are recording dialogue for film sound and spot miking in the orchestra or on the opera stage. Thanks to the magnetic back of the CMC 1 KV, the microphone can also be fixed to many surfaces and hidden discreetly as a plant mic.
