Description

This Schoeps Colette set pairs the MK 2S omnidirectional capsule with the CMC 1 L, a miniature microphone amplifier with a Lemo output connector. The MK 2S is the most popular Schoeps pressure transducer and has a slight high-frequency emphasis for frontal sound incidence.

The CMC 1 L is about one-third the length and 53% lighter than the CMC 6, so the complete microphone suits applications where size and weight matter. It runs on 48 V or 12 V phantom power, draws very little current and has the Schoeps RFI Shield for high immunity from RF interference.

Its somewhat brighter sound compared with the MK 2 and MK 2H makes the MK 2S well suited as a main or room microphone, especially in larger rooms. It is often used for A/B stereo and the Decca Tree, and has proven useful in two- and three-microphone stereo arrays.

Features

Omnidirectional Pressure Transducer
The MK 2S is the most popular Schoeps pressure transducer, with a slight high-frequency emphasis for frontal sound.

Main and Room Microphone
Its somewhat brighter sound makes it well suited as a main or room microphone, especially in larger rooms.

Stereo Array Use
It is often used for A/B stereo and the Decca Tree, and has proven useful in two- and three-microphone stereo arrays.

Miniature Lemo Amplifier
The CMC 1 L is the Lemo output version of the CMC 1 and is about one-third the length and 53% lighter than the CMC 6.

Phantom Power Flexibility
It operates on 48 V or 12 V phantom power with very low current consumption.

RF Shielding
The Schoeps RFI Shield gives very high immunity from RF interference.

Clean Class-A Output
The balanced, direct-coupled, class-A output is filtered in the ultrasonic range to prevent interference, for example from camera autofocus.

Colette Compatibility
The amplifier is compatible with all available MK capsules and active Colette accessories.
