Description

The sE Electronics DynaCaster DCM 6 is a front-address dynamic microphone designed for streaming, broadcasting, podcasting, and voice recording, while also being suitable for singing, acoustic instruments, and amplifiers. Its custom DMC3A dynamic capsule delivers a smooth, natural sound with clear speech reproduction, even in noisy environments. The cardioid pickup pattern focuses on sound arriving from the front, while its integrated pop filter helps suppress plosives without requiring an external filter. Built-in shock absorption also reduces mechanical vibrations reaching the capsule, keeping desk and boom-arm setups compact and uncluttered.

A key feature of the DCM 6 is its integrated DYNAMITE preamp, which provides 30 dB of additional clean, transparent gain. A red button on the rear of the microphone switches the preamp on or off. When activated, it requires 48V phantom power and provides extra sensitivity for speech and softer sound sources. When switched off, the DCM 6 functions as a completely passive dynamic microphone and requires no phantom power. It connects through a 3-pin XLR output and has a 40 Hz to 18 kHz frequency range.
