Description

The Decca Tree is a triangular arrangement of three omnidirectional microphones.

The MK 2H capsule has a mild high-frequency response elevation at 0°, which compensates high-frequency losses at medium recording distance. The CMC 1 U amplifier has an XLR-3M output and the Schoeps RFI Shield.

Place the microphones at least 1.5 m apart to reduce crosstalk and excessive correlation at low frequencies. Because capsule and amplifier are separate parts, the capsule can be exchanged.

Features

Modular Decca Tree Set
Each of the three microphones combines a CMC 1 U amplifier with an MK 2H capsule, so the capsule can be exchanged.

Omnidirectional MK 2H
The capsule has an omnidirectional pattern and a mild high-frequency response elevation at 0°, which compensates high-frequency losses at medium recording distance.

RFI Shield
The CMC 1 U amplifier has very high immunity from RF interference thanks to the Schoeps RFI Shield.

Phantom Powering
The amplifier operates on 48 V or 12 V phantom power.

XLR-3M Output
The CMC 1 U amplifier has an XLR-3M output connector.
