Description

The Schoeps HSC 4VXP is a completely integrated headset: a compact CCM 4VXP microphone is permanently connected to an Ultrasone headphone through a gooseneck, so microphone and headphones form one unit. A single cable connects to the headset and splits into an XLR-3M microphone output and a 1/4" stereo headphone input.

The CCM 4VXP is a cardioid designed for the closest speech pickup, directly in front of the speaker's mouth. Its drastic bass rolloff is compensated by proximity effect, so the voice stays even while noise from the surroundings is greatly reduced. That makes it a strong choice for loud environments, and the headset is widely used for commentary in professional broadcast, mainly in sports and audio description.

The B 5 pop screen comes with the headset. For even greater protection against wind and popping noise, the B 5 D pop screen can be used instead.
