Description

The SCHOEPS MK 2Hg Matched Pair is a set of two matched MK 2H omnidirectional microphone capsules in matte gray. A gold-plated ring reduces the size of the acoustic opening, which gives a mild acoustic elevation above 6 kHz.

This elevation reduces the high frequency loss for diffuse sound at medium recording distances, so the overall response is linear indoors. Schoeps describes the MK 2H as ideal for A/B stereophony and the Decca Tree, and recommends the KA 40 sphere accessory for those methods.
