Description

This Schoeps set contains three matched MK 2H omnidirectional capsules in a matte gray finish. The MK 2H has a mild high-frequency response elevation at 0°, which compensates for the high-frequency losses caused by a slightly increased diffuse-field amount at medium recording distances.

A gold-plated ring reduces the size of the acoustic opening, giving a slight, purely acoustic response elevation above 6 kHz. The MK 2H is often described as balanced and round, and it suits A/B stereophony and the Decca Tree. Used indoors at medium recording distances, its overall response is linear.

Schoeps lists the CMC 1 U, CMC 1 L and CMC 6 as matching amplifiers, and recommends KA 40 accessory spheres for A/B stereo and Decca Tree recording.
