Description

The SCHOEPS MK 2XS is an omnidirectional microphone capsule that is diffuse-field equalized, here as a matched pair in matte gray. Schoeps can deliver specially matched capsule pairs, as normal production tolerances are already very close.

The MK 2XS compensates for high-frequency response losses and so has a flat frequency response in the diffuse sound field. It is designed for relatively great distances from the sound source and is usually used as a room microphone beyond the reverberation radius. Used near a sound source, the sound is brilliant.
