Description

The SCHOEPS MK 4VXP is a side-addressed cardioid microphone capsule for very close speech pickup, directly in front of the speaker's mouth. This version comes in matte gray.

Its strong low-frequency rolloff of -10 dB at 100 Hz is compensated by proximity effect, so the voice stays flat while sound from a greater distance is picked up less strongly. The MK 4VXP is also available in the HSC 4VXP headset.

Features

Side-Addressed Cardioid
The capsule is cardioid and side-addressed, with the same polar diagram as the MK 4V.

Very Close Speech Pickup
Designed for very close speech pickup at distances under 10 cm.

Strong Low-Frequency Rolloff
A rolloff of -10 dB at 100 Hz is compensated by proximity effect, which helps reduce background sound.

Plosive Protection
Schoeps lists increased protection from plosive noise for the P series.
