The Austrian Audio OC-B6 is a specialized bass drum microphone designed to capture the full impact of a kick with precision and clarity. As the first true large-diaphragm condenser microphone developed specifically for bass drums, it offers a clean, natural tone that can be shaped easily to fit a wide range of musical styles. Its compact form factor and robust construction are well-suited to both studio and live environments, providing reliable performance even under high-pressure conditions.

At the heart of the OC-B6 is the CKR6-B capsule, engineered to withstand extremely high sound pressure levels, up to 170 dB without distortion. Its 220° swivel head allows for flexible placement in a variety of mic positions, from inside the drum to just outside the port. A built-in subsonic filter at 25 Hz helps eliminate unwanted low-end rumble, keeping the signal focused. With no onboard EQ shaping or tonal coloration, it delivers a pure signal that sound engineers can work with freely. Its integrated mic thread also removes the need for clips or external mounts, streamlining setup in tight spaces.
