Description

The Schoeps ORTF-3D Indoor Set is a complete 8-channel set for indoor ambience recording in 3D audio. It brings together the microphones, the mounting bar and the foam windscreens needed to record with the ORTF-3D technique.

Four CCM 41 supercardioid microphones and four side-addressed CCM 41V supercardioid microphones are held by the CB ORTF-3D, a mechanical mount for eight microphones. They form a square array with 18 cm between the capsule centers, and four WMS foam windscreens are part of the set.

The ORTF-3D technique suits ambience recording for 3D playback systems and VR, with the eight signals routed discretely to eight loudspeakers. The CCM microphones can be replaced by corresponding combinations of a CMC 1 L amplifier and an MK capsule.
