Description

The PMC12 is a high-end, 3-way active reference monitor crafted for professional studios where absolute accuracy, power, and headroom are non-negotiable. Designed to handle the needs of advanced music production, mixing, mastering, and film or broadcast post-production, it provides a significant step up from the PMC10 in terms of scale, low-end extension, and maximum output. Whether in stereo or immersive audio setups, the PMC12 excels by delivering ultra-accurate monitoring with massive dynamic range and deep, precise bass response.

At its heart is PMC’s renowned ATL™ (Advanced Transmission Line) cabinet, refined with LaminairX™ venting to ensure enhanced low-frequency control and efficiency. It features a powerful in-house designed 12-inch bass driver, engineered with a 3-layer, 3-inch voice coil, double-stacked magnets, and a stable suspension system for distortion-free, extended low-frequency performance. Paired with a 75mm PMC75v3 soft-dome midrange and a hand-built 34mm tweeter, the system ensures perfect phase alignment and tonal integrity across the spectrum. Dispersion is controlled via PMC’s n-compass™ waveguide, providing an accurate listening experience across the room.

Each speaker is driven by the master36 DSP/Amplifier, delivering 800W each to the high and mid drivers, and 1000W to the bass driver. This 2600W per-channel amplification is supported by DSP-based crossovers, excursion protection, and room EQ, all managed through PMC’s SoundAlign2 interface. The PMC12 is also scalable into an XBD configuration for installations requiring even more low-end headroom and scale.
