Description
Description
The Rycote Portable Recorder Suspension (SKU RYC041119) is a robust and versatile mounting solution designed to isolate portable audio recorders from handling noise, vibrations, and environmental disturbances which ensures cleaner, more professional recordings. Ideal for field recordists, videographers, and content creators, it incorporates Rycote’s patented Lyre suspension system, which outperforms traditional elastic or rubber mounts and remains unaffected by temperature extremes or wear over time.
This suspension system is compatible with portable recorders that feature a 1/4" female thread, allowing secure attachment via its integrated 1/4" to 3/8" swivel adaptor. It can be mounted on 3/8" mic stands, boom poles, or even adapted for camera hot shoes, offering exceptional flexibility in a wide range of recording scenarios. The 180° swivel mechanism enables precise orientation of your recorder, so it can always face the sound source accurately.
Compatible devices include popular models such as the Zoom H4n / H4n Pro, Zoom H5, Nagra Mezzo, and Olympus DM650, among others. It’s also suitable for use with camcorders and DSLRs like the Sony PXW-FS7, PXW-X180, and NEX-FS700RH, making it a go-to accessory for high-quality, mobile audio capture in both professional and semi-professional settings.
