Description

The Schoeps RC Set "Violin" with CMC 6 is a plug and play set that comes with everything needed for a complete stand-mounted microphone. It is the standard on concert stages and is optimally adapted to use as a spot microphone for an instrument that is recorded from above.

The set combines the cardioid MK 4 capsule, the RC 700 active tube with swivel, the STR 1000 support rod, the BF 250 heavy floor stand and the CMC 6 microphone amplifier. The active tube lets you place the microphone unobtrusively in the orchestra without affecting the view, and the capsule can be tilted between 0° and 120°.

By varying the length of the RC tube and the STR rod, numerous other applications can be realized.

Cardioid MK 4 Capsule
The MK 4 has a cardioid pattern, and its directivity is highly independent of frequency. It is preferred as a spot microphone and for acoustic instruments.

Active Tube with Swivel
The RC tube is inserted between capsule and amplifier and has a swivel at the head end. The capsule can be tilted between 0° and 120°.

Unobtrusive Placement
The slim active tube makes it possible to place the microphone in the orchestra without affecting the view.

Heavy Floor Stand
The STR support rod is clamped in the collet of the BF 250, a heavy bottom base.

Adaptable Lengths
Varying the length of the RC tube and the STR rod opens up numerous other applications.

RFI Shield Amplifier
The CMC 6 offers excellent protection against high-frequency radio interference with its RFI Shield. It works on P48 and P12 phantom power.
