Description

This Stereo Set 12XS is a matched pair of SCHOEPS Colette microphones: two CMC 1 U microphone amplifiers with two MK 2XS omnidirectional capsules, in matte gray. SCHOEPS supplies its Colette stereo sets as two complete microphones with selected, matched capsules in one wooden case.

The MK 2XS is diffuse-field equalized, with a considerable high-frequency response elevation at 0°. It is designed for placement in a diffuse sound field, at a relatively great distance from the sound source, and is usually used as a room microphone beyond the reverberation radius. Used close to a sound source, the sound is brilliant.

The CMC 1 U is the small Colette amplifier with an XLR-3M output. It works on 48 V or 12 V phantom power and is protected by the SCHOEPS RFI Shield.
