Description

The Schoeps Stereo Set 1L2XS is a stereo pair of modular Colette microphones. Each of the two complete microphones combines a miniature CMC 1 L amplifier with an MK 2XS capsule, and the capsules are selected and matched. The CMC 1 L is the variant of the CMC 1 with a miniature Lemo output connector.

The MK 2XS is an omnidirectional capsule that has a flat frequency response in the diffuse sound field. If it is used near a sound source, the sound is brilliant, so Schoeps usually uses it as a room microphone beyond the reverberation radius.

The CMC 1 amplifier is about one-third the length and 53% lighter than the CMC 6. It operates on 48 V or 12 V phantom power and has very high immunity from RF interference with the SCHOEPS RFI Shield.
