Description

The Primacoustic ThunderTile with Square Edge is a high-performance acoustic ceiling tile designed to enhance sound quality and prevent noise transmission between rooms. Measuring 24 inches by 48 inches with a 1-inch thickness, each tile combines a ¾-inch layer of high-density 6-pound-per-cubic-foot glass wool with a ½-inch gypsum board backing. This dual-layer construction effectively absorbs sound within a room while blocking noise from passing through the ceiling plenum to adjacent spaces, making it ideal for environments such as conference rooms, music rooms, home theaters, call centers, doctor's offices, and restaurants.

The square edge design allows for seamless integration into standard T-bar ceiling grids, providing a clean and flush appearance. Finished in Absolute White, these tiles offer optimal light reflectance and can be repainted to match specific interior décors. They are designed to retrofit into existing T-bar ceiling systems and can be easily cut to accommodate fixtures like lights, ventilation, and speakers. Unlike standard mineral wool tiles, ThunderTiles resist sagging due to moisture, making them suitable for areas with fluctuating humidity and temperature levels. They also meet stringent ASTM-E84 fire and smoke development standards for Class-A/1 designation, ensuring safety in diverse applications.
