Description

The Schoeps V4 SGV Set g is the gray V4 U studio vocal microphone supplied with a wooden case and the SGV stand clamp. The V4 U unites the technical character typical of Schoeps with a classic design based on the CM 51/3 from 1951.

The V4 U is a modern cardioid microphone with a newly developed small-diaphragm capsule. A 33 mm beveled collar makes the directivity increase steadily at high frequencies, as in a large-diaphragm microphone, while the on-axis response keeps a mild high-frequency lift. The capsule is elastically suspended internally to reduce handling noise, and the capsule head tilts to adjust its angle.

The SGV clamp has a 5/8"-27 internal thread, with a threaded adapter for 3/8" and 1/2" mounting, and its angle can be varied continuously in the vertical plane.

Small-Diaphragm Capsule With Collar
A 33 mm beveled collar increases directivity steadily at high frequencies, as in a large-diaphragm microphone, while keeping the smooth response of a small-diaphragm capsule.

Mild High-Frequency Lift
The on-axis frequency response features a mild high-frequency lift, with a diffuse-field response that rolls off gently at high frequencies.

Internal Capsule Suspension
The capsule is elastically suspended inside the microphone to reduce solid-borne sound such as handling noise.

Adjustable Capsule Head
The capsule head has an adjustable tilt angle.

Transformerless Balanced Output
The output stage is transformerless and free of coupling capacitors, with a truly balanced output and a very high maximum sound pressure level.

Interference Protection
Gapless shielding and a modern RFI filter at the output give high immunity to interference.

SGV Stand Clamp
The rigid SGV clamp has a 5/8"-27 internal thread, a threaded adapter for 3/8" and 1/2" mounting, and continuous vertical angle adjustment.
