Austrian Audio is expanding its microphone lineup in early 2026 with two new releases aimed at both studio and live drum capture: the OC-B6 large-diaphragm condenser bass drum mic and the DMK1 complete drum mic kit. These products will officially launch at NAMM on January 22, 2026, with availability expected in February.
OC-B6 Bass Drum Microphone

The OC-B6 is designed specifically for kick drum applications, using a large-diaphragm condenser design to deliver clear, flexible sound without coloration. Built around the CKR6-B capsule, it offers:
- SPL handling over 170 dB with zero distortion
- Flat response with no built-in EQ or coloration
- A 25 Hz subsonic filter to clean up inaudible low-end rumble
- 220° rotatable head for flexible positioning in tight spaces
- Robust construction with an integrated mic thread (no clip required)
It’s designed to perform consistently in any mic position: inside the shell, at the port, or just outside the kick drum. Dimensions are 92 × 82 × 57 mm, with a cardioid polar pattern and frequency range of 18 Hz – 20 kHz.
DMK1 Drum Microphone Kit

The DMK1 is a full-package solution for drummers and engineers, combining eight handcrafted mics with accessories in a waterproof touring case. It includes:
Microphones:
Accessories:
- 7× mic clamps
- 4× drum clips
- 3× windscreens
- 1× waterproof hard case
Each mic in the kit is optimized for its specific drum application. For instance, the OC18 provides wide stereo imaging and onboard pad/filter options, while the OD5 dynamic snare mic offers focused punch and high headroom. The CC8 hi-hat mic uses a transformerless design to ensure precise transient detail even under high SPLs.
Both products are scheduled to ship starting February 2026, following their debut at NAMM booth 16103.
