Audio-Technica is marking a decade of the iconic ATH-M50x with a special release: the 2025 limited-edition ATH-M50xENSO headphones. This exclusive drop features a refined return to the classic all-black design, with an artistic twist inspired by Japanese tradition. With only 5,000 units available worldwide, and just a small number making it to Canada, this is a rare opportunity for collectors and fans alike.

The name “ENSO” comes from the Zen-inspired circle often seen in Japanese brushwork, symbolizing unity and flow. This influence is seen in the unique engravings on the headband sliders and earcup rings, featuring sumi ink-style strokes and audio frequency waves. Each pair comes with a unique serial number, making every set one of a kind.

Audio-Technica has also crafted special packaging for the ENSO edition. In a fun twist, 200 randomly packed boxes will include a winning postcard granting the buyer a custom ENSO accessories kit. This includes a sleek headphone case and a hand-dyed furoshiki cloth, made in partnership with Kyoto’s Bamba dyeing factory, a traditional maker of handcrafted textiles for over 110 years.

The ATH-M50x ENSO is more than just a stylish tribute, it's a collector’s item rooted in culture and craftsmanship. With such limited availability, it's a piece of Audio-Technica history that won’t last long.
