Description
The Blackmagic 2110 IP Mini IP to HDMI is a compact SMPTE ST 2110 monitoring converter designed to bring IP-based video directly to HDMI displays. Its small form factor allows it to be mounted discreetly behind televisions, computer monitors, or projectors, making it ideal for broadcast facilities, live production environments, AV installations, and remote monitoring applications. It converts SMPTE-2110 video and embedded audio streams into HDMI, providing a simple way to integrate standard HDMI displays into modern IP-based broadcast workflows.
Built around a standard 10G Ethernet connection, the converter supports SMPTE ST 2110-20 video, ST 2110-30 audio, and ST 2110-40 ancillary data, allowing video, audio, timecode, captions, and metadata to be transported across IP networks. It also supports NMOS discovery and connection management, making it easy to route signals in larger SMPTE-2110 systems. For synchronization, the converter uses Precision Time Protocol (PTP), ensuring accurate timing and alignment with other devices across the network. Support for multicast routing, sender and receiver configuration, ancillary data handling, and Blackmagic's low-latency IP10 codec provides flexibility when deploying the converter in both simple and complex IP infrastructures.
The converter supports a wide range of SD, HD, Ultra HD, and DCI 4K video formats up to 2160p60 and 4K DCI 60p, automatically adapting to incoming signals. Power can be supplied through PoE++ over the 10G Ethernet connection or via the included 12V DC power supply, reducing cabling requirements and simplifying installation. With support for 16 channels of embedded audio, USB-C connectivity for configuration and firmware updates, and a compact design that fits almost anywhere, the 2110 IP Mini IP to HDMI provides an efficient and affordable bridge between professional SMPTE-2110 networks and everyday HDMI monitoring devices.
