The Audix ADX40 is a miniature hanging condenser microphone designed for professional overhead audio capture in live performance, theatrical, and installed sound environments. Finished in a non-reflective black housing, the ADX40 blends discreetly into stage and ceiling spaces while delivering clear and natural sound reproduction from a distance. Its lightweight, low-profile design makes it an excellent choice for choir performances, group vocals, orchestras, theatrical productions, ambient room capture, and symphonic area miking where minimal visual presence and consistent coverage are important.

Equipped with a uniformly controlled cardioid polar pattern, the ADX40 helps isolate the intended performance area while reducing unwanted pickup from surrounding instruments and stage noise. Its wide 40 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response and excellent transient response allow vocals and acoustic instruments to sound natural, detailed, and balanced. Designed specifically for distance miking, the ADX40 captures sound with impressive clarity while maintaining strong feedback resistance in demanding live sound applications.

Built to high manufacturing standards, the ADX40 features a machined brass body, field-replaceable capsule, and durable professional-grade construction for reliable long-term performance. The microphone includes a 30-foot attached shielded cable, phantom power adapter, wire hanger for positioning, external windscreen, and carrying pouch for flexible installation and setup.
