Description

The Lectrosonics DM812 is a high-performance digital matrix processor designed for professional audio routing, mixing, and signal processing in environments where precise control over multiple microphones and loudspeakers is essential. With its 8 mic/line inputs and 12 outputs, four of which are switchable to mic-level, the DM812 provides a robust platform for conferencing, sound reinforcement, and AV integration in venues such as boardrooms, courtrooms, worship spaces, hotels, and distance learning facilities.

At the heart of the DM812 is a fully DSP-based 8x12 crosspoint matrix, offering gain control at each crosspoint from -69 dB to +20 dB in 1 dB steps. Each input channel features 6 filter stages, an ADFE (Automatic Digital Feedback Eliminator), compressor, and delay, allowing detailed input conditioning regardless of mic placement or room acoustics. On the output side, each channel includes 9 filters, a compressor/limiter, and delay, enabling tailored signal delivery to each zone, recorder, or speaker system.

Unlike traditional auto mixers that operate with gating, the DM812 features Lectrosonics’ patented proportional gain auto mixing algorithm with AutoSkew™, which ensures smooth, artifact-free microphone mixing which is ideal for natural sound pickup in multi-mic environments. Its Optimized Architecture™ ensures unlimited DSP resources, meaning every DSP module is available on every channel with no compromise or resource limitations.
