Description

The Blackmagic Design Micro Converter BiDirectional SDI/HDMI 3G wPSU is an ultra compact broadcast converter that allows you to convert SDI to HDMI and HDMI to SDI simultaneously, even in different formats. Designed for professional video workflows, it offers true bidirectional conversion in a remarkably small form factor, making it ideal for live production, studio installations, and on location shoots where space is limited but performance cannot be compromised.

Supporting SD, HD, and 3G SDI standards up to 1080p60 and 2K DCI, the converter automatically detects video formats and switches accordingly for seamless integration. With 4:2:2 color precision in YUV color space and built in reclocking, it helps maintain signal integrity across longer cable runs. The unit also supports Blackmagic Camera Control and tally over SDI, allowing compatible Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Cameras to be integrated directly into professional SDI switcher environments.

Power is supplied via the included universal 5V power supply with international socket adapters, and configuration or firmware updates are handled through USB C using Mac or Windows software. Compact yet highly capable, the Micro Converter BiDirectional SDI/HDMI 3G is a reliable solution for bridging HDMI and SDI equipment in demanding broadcast and production settings.
