Description

This matched pair of condenser microphone capsules uses a single-diaphragm, pure pressure-gradient design to produce a consistent figure-8 polar pattern. Its clear, neutral sound and phase-matched performance make it well suited to M/S and Blumlein stereo recording, as well as carefully positioned spot-microphone applications.

The side-address pickup axis runs perpendicular to the capsule body, with red and black dots identifying the front and rear axes. For M/S recording, the capsule can be positioned directly above or below the mid microphone and as close as possible. Its equally sensitive rear lobe reverses polarity, so thoughtful placement helps prevent unwanted reflections, cancellation, and comb-filter effects. A hand-signed factory matching certificate is included.
